The OA Executive Board meeting was called to order at 3:05pm by Lodge Vice Chief AJ Brechtel with the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and the Obligation of the OA.
Secretary Mike Green then read the minutes of the last meeting.
Old Business:
Ceremony Teams:
Some members of the Lodge volunteered to be on the ceremony team; however, we are still looking for more volunteers. (OPEN)
Ceremony team training will be conducted at a date to be determined later. (OPEN)
Lodge Spring Conclave:
After much discussion, the Lodge Spring Conclave will be held the weekend of May 14-16. (CLOSED)
Election Teams:
Election team training will be conducted at 1:00 pm, 14 Mar 99, at the Scout Office. (CLOSED)
Section Conclave:
Registration is still being accepted for the Section Conclave in Gillette, WY April 23-25 and the deadline for registration is March 15, 1999. (OPEN)
The Lodge has prepaid 40% of the cost for 15 people to attend the conclave. (CLOSED)
Matt Wenrick has volunteered to assist with the publications and web site designing classes. (CLOSED)
A discussion was given about what a conclave is and what the new members can expect. (CLOSED)
Everyone registering for the conclave will be given until March 15 to select which committee they will be involved with. (OPEN)
NOAC 2000:
It was suggested a lodge flap be designed with the permission of Harley Davidson Company picturing a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a "miles from Wall Drug" or "miles from Sturgis" logo. This will have to be coordinated with Harley Davidson. (OPEN)
45th year Lodge Anniversary Patch:
A design for the patch is currently being developed. (OPEN)
Adopt a Trail Program:
A meeting needs to be coordinated with the Forest Service and the OA for further plans. (OPEN)
New Business:
Lodge Spring Conclave:
The board approved letting Phil Rogers coordinate the menus needed for the Spring Conclave. (CLOSED)
Volunteers taken for Elangomats for the Ordeal. (CLOSED)
